Part Time Tasting Room Associate - Lompoc, CA
We are hiring for a Part‑Time tasting room associate position will be responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging experience for our guests. This role involves providing excellent customer service, educating guests about our wines, conducting tastings, and promoting wine sales. Provignage operates as a highly collaborative team, and all roles may occasionally support cross‑functional projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine, strong communication skills, and a friendly and outgoing personality.
This part‑time role is based at the Tasting Room in Lompoc, California.
Guest Service & Hospitality:
- Greet all guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service.
- Observe the DTC calendar and processes. Conduct necessary pre‑visit research, communicate clearly with all visitors prior to the visit, and follow up.
- Become comfortable in Hub Spot & Shopify platforms. Process orders accurately and efficiently using CRM tools.
- Contribute to customer communication in Hub Spot for all guests, continually updating with new customer information.
- Guide guests through wine tastings, sharing knowledge about our wines, vineyards, and winemaking process.
- Create a fun, educational, and memorable experience for each visitor.
- Respond to guest inquiries and address any concerns promptly and professionally.
- Build relationships with guests and encourage repeat visits.
Wine Sales & Promotion:
- Promote and sell wine, wine club memberships, and merchandise.
- Effectively present and recommend wines to guests.
- Meet or exceed sales goals.
- Accurately process sales transactions using the point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
Tasting Room Operations:
- Set up and maintain the tasting room, ensuring cleanliness and presentation.
- Morning calibration of coffee and wine service. Coffee service must match the precision and narrative style of wine service.
- Wash and polish coffee, barware, and glassware.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Compliance:
- Serve alcohol responsibly and in accordance with all laws and regulations.
- Verify the age of guests to ensure they are of legal drinking age.

- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, reflecting the standards of Provignage and clients.
- Flexibility to work some weekends and evenings during peak seasons or special events.
- Must support winery operations during key periods such as bottling, harvest, or other production projects, as needed.
- Hourly wage of $25 per hour.
- Monthly wine club sign‑up, sales incentives, and tips.
- 2 weeks of sick/wellness time.
