Substitute Teachers needed for the Lompoc & Buellton area. Teachers work in partnership with the team teacher to develop weekly lesson plans for preschool children, develop and maintain a safe and positive classroom climate, and create an intentional learning environment; screen and assess each child using appropriate screening/assessment tools; individualize educational plans for each child based on ongoing developmental assessments. Engage parents of various cultural backgrounds in their child’s education.
Hourly rates are between $19.00 - $20.50 depending on how many ECE units you have completed. Position earns sick leave accrual.
Teacher I: 12 units in ECE/CD in core course or hold Associate Teacher permit or Child Development Associate permit. Obtain and maintain a current Child Development Permit for position held.
Teachers must obtain and maintain a Pediatric First Aid and CPR card. Experience working with children with disabilities desirable; bilingual preferred. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
