We are seeking a full‑time, remote IT Application Development Manager with extensive Salesforce experience. The Manager will coordinate and supervise all activities related to Application Strategy, Development Standards, and the design, development, and implementation of enterprise application solutions. The role includes managing integration technology solutions, overseeing a team of professionals (employees and contractors), and ensuring alignment between technology initiatives and business objectives.

• Oversee the support and enhancement of a purchased Salesforce application, maximizing value from standard package features and configuration tools (flows, validation rules, page layouts, permission sets).
• Establish and enforce a “configuration first” philosophy, minimizing custom code unless necessary for critical business needs.
• Evaluate requests for custom development, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technical feasibility, and long‑term maintainability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, supportable Salesforce configurations.
• Stay current with Salesforce platform updates and best practices, ensuring team leverages new features and maintains compliance with platform standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation for configuration, customizations, and support processes.

• Manage maintenance and support of existing systems and implementation of new systems as prioritized by IT leadership and PMO.
• Define, develop, and implement best practices in design, development, build/deployments, and unit testing; develop metrics to manage performance.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to track software development project deliverables, including schedules, status reports, resource plans, and risk mitigation.
• Own the development and testing environment, ensuring adequate hardware and configuration resources to avoid bottlenecks.
• Lead the assessment and implementation of third‑party controls; manage inventories and implement a common library within the organization.

• Supervise and delegate responsibilities among application development professionals to enhance their professional growth.
• Develop mentoring relationships and manage related HR activities (annual reviews and performance feedback).
• Work closely with IT Management to align Application Strategies and designs with business objectives and best practices.
• Ensure timely, accurate communication between team members and business users.
• Identify enhancements to improve supportability, operability, or performance of applications and develop supporting business cases.
• Collect, analyze, and report SLA and KPI data to drive application stability and usability; take corrective actions as warranted.
• Manage budgets and forecasts, coordinate scheduled maintenance priorities, and maintain the release calendar for all activity.
• Participate in on‑call responsibilities 24x7x365 as needed, managing team rotation schedules.
• Advance Dev Ops and Agile methodologies within the application portfolio, working with infrastructure and development partners.
• Identify, sponsor, and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the application development and support team.
• Demonstrate capability working in a matrix environment and successful SDLC implementation.
