Exciting Opportunity with Pedia Staff:
Special Education Teacher for a new school near Lombard, IL. Pedia Staff is a trusted leader in pediatric therapy and educational staffing solutions, connecting passionate professionals with rewarding school-based and clinic opportunities since 2004. We're currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher ($42-60/hour - based on experience) to support special needs students near the Lombard, IL area.

• Bachelor s Degree in Special Education or higher.
• Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Endorsements in Special Education (Learning Behavior Specialist I).

• Dates: ASAP - approximately May 29, 2026.
• Hours:
  
  7am – 3:15pm, M-F with a 30-minute duty-free lunch.
• Setting:
  Special Education needed for a primary teacher servicing 6-9 yrs of age;
  One building.
• School uses developmental language model.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will support students with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

• Accommodate, modify and adapt lessons and curriculum as needed to meet individual student needs and IEP goals.
• Support in the facilitation of IEP meetings as well as development of the IEP.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental levels and interests of their students.
• Set and communicate clear expectations for classroom behavior and school environment by applying positive reinforcement and/or behavior modification techniques as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of student behavior intervention plans.
