Position OverviewThe Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides care for blood and marrow transplant patients and immunotherapy patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings under the supervision of the attending physician. Responsibilities include assessment, triage, and management of transplant patients as part of a collaborative team. Duties include obtaining medical histories, performing physical exams, reviewing and ordering diagnostic studies, radiographs, and prescribing treatments.
APPs perform bone marrow aspirations, lumbar punctures, assist with Bone Marrow Harvests, and provide follow-up care of bone marrow donors under supervision. Applicants with adult or pediatric experience are encouraged to apply.
- Graduation from a Physician Assistant training program or appropriate Nurse Practitioner program, licensed to practice in California.
- National Certification relevant to the profession.
- Licensed for schedule II drug authority.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Interest in long-term patient relationships during intense therapies.
- Oncology or BMT experience preferred.
- Experience in acute care settings for complex patients, oncology, or transplant preferred.

Compensation & BenefitsStarting salary ranges from $110,000 to $150,000, adjusted based on experience and faculty rank. Benefits include retirement contributions, medical/dental coverage, vacation and sick leave, CME funds, relocation assistance, malpractice and life insurance, and federal loan repayment options.
