The Loma Linda University Eye Institute ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) invites applications from qualified optometrists to practice in our ophthalmology department. The Loma Linda Eye Institute has excellent clinical facilities and a large, diverse patient population. It is a high volume and fast paced practice. Associated with Loma Linda University Medical Center and Children’s Hospital, LLUEI is also a teaching facility with ophthalmology residents and fellows.
The responsibilities of the optometrist include:
The ideal candidate will have residency training in ocular disease or primary care or at least two years’ experience in treating related disorders. At the time of application candidates must have an OD degree from an ACOE accredited institution and be licensed in the State of California with therapeutic drug prescribing certification (TPA) glaucoma certification (TLG). Residency training and Clinical teaching experience are highly preferred but not required.
Low vision training and experience also highly preferred. The level of appointment will be determined by the experience of the applicant. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Compensation & Benefits
Expected Total Annual Compensation: $130,000 - $175,000
The compensation range listed above includes variable compensation and is based on a 1.0 FTE work schedule/effort, as outlined in the individual department compensation plan. The compensation range for starting base compensation only, which is adjusted in accordance with years of experience and/or faculty rank, is expected to be $100,000 - $140,000. More information on compensation is discussed with the department during the recruitment process.
