Overview
Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Neurology has an opportunity for board-certified/eligible neurologists who are interested in a Clinical Educator career in neurology. A broad interest in clinical neurology is valued. A subspecialty interest is not required, but if present may be developed with existing subspecialty programs. Potential subspecialty interests include EMG/neuromuscular (fellowship training preferred), movement disorders, neuro-otology, headache, multiple sclerosis, functional disorders or dementia.
This position will have a flexible balance of neurology clinics and attending our general neurology teaching ward service, depending on the candidate's interest. The role emphasizes teaching neurology residents, fellowships, and medical students, with a focus on clinical duty, partnership, and whole-person care. Added faculty development in seminars and conferences dedicated to advancing neurology education and teaching is supported, with opportunities for clinical research and educational outcomes.
Our neurology department serves a brand-new tertiary academic medical center, an expanding regional medical center (Riverside University Medical Center), a faculty clinical practice, and a Federally Qualified Health Center (SAC Health Systems). The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $240,000-$290,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
