- Lead and support process optimization initiatives to improve plant performance and efficiency.
- Operate the kiln, mills, and other process equipment within state, provincial, and federal parameters for air quality standards, understanding how process changes affect plant operations with respect to the permit limits.
- Communicate plant requirements to on-coming shift and maintenance personnel. Coordinate with technical support on operational matters and prepare operating shift reports.
- Train and mentor plant personnel on process control systems and best practices
- Enter locate, interpret, and use various layers of information using network computers, DSC screens, remote access panels, etc. for shift reports, notifications, measurements, inventions process measures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams effectively
- Proficiency in process control systems and data analysis tools
- Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
- Adaptability and initiative in a dynamic manufacturing environment
This role operates in a heavy industrial setting, including exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures. The position requires time spent both in the Control room and within the plant floor, with a focus on safety, compliance and collaboration.
