This part‑time Delivery Driver position requires safe driving, a valid driver’s license, and access to an insured vehicle. Employees will deliver products within the designated delivery area.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIESYou must be 18 years of age with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle available for delivery.
- Navigate maps, locate addresses and adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings.
- Set up and operate delivery equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to store storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Provide orientation and on‑the‑job training.
- Communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
- Perform essential math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and provide correct monetary change.
- Exhibit motor coordination for precise movements and fast speed.
- Talking and hearing on telephone.
- Near and mid‑range vision for most tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Far vision and night vision for driving.
The role requires directing activities, performing repetitive tasks, working alone and with others, managing stress, meeting strict quality control standards, dealing with people, analyzing data, and making judgments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Standing: tasks are performed from a standing position on surfaces such as ceramic tile, bricks, or linoleum.
- Walking: frequent short‑distance travel between the store and delivery vehicle and to customers.
- Sitting: paperwork completed at a desk or table.
- Lifting: e.g., bulk product deliveries up to 50 lbs, cases up to 3 ft × 1.5 ft, stacked up to 72 in. high.
- Carrying: items up to 30 lbs (pizza sauce, trays of dough weighing ~12 lb) and small cans weighing 3 lb 7 oz.
- Pushing: moving trays on dollies requiring up to 7.5 lb force.
- Climbing: occasional stairs or ladders during maintenance; five or more flights of stairs during delivery.
- Stooping/Bending: forward bending at waist during pizza assembly (~30‑45 sec continuous).
- Crouching/Squatting: occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
- Reaching: above 72 in., below tables, and forward for tasks such as refilling ingredients.
- Driving: delivering pizzas within the designated area, making multiple deliveries per shift.
Eye‑hand coordination is essential; continuous use of hands for shaping dough, manipulating pizza peel, rolling cutter, and packaging. Workers will use pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, and pizza cutters.
REQUIRES- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
