Position:
Member Frontline Cashier Associate at Sam’s Club. The cashier is a frontline role focused on customer service, quick and accurate checkout, and contributing to a positive member experience. The pace can be fast, especially in evenings, on weekends, and during holidays.

• Operate registers and support members through the self-checkout experience.
• Scan items, process payments, and ensure a clean, organized area.
• Provide member service by acknowledging needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and answering questions about products and services.
• Promote company products and services and support member self-service technology.
• Maintain a positive attitude, greet and thank members, and contribute to a high level of member satisfaction.
• Uphold safety and cleanliness standards; follow company procedures for hazardous materials handling and general safety practices.
• Assist with transactions using registers or self-checkout and manage merchandise zoning and arrangement as needed.

Maintains safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures where applicable, and correcting or reporting unsafe situations to facility management.

Provides member service by acknowledging members and identifying needs; assisting with purchasing decisions; locating merchandise; resolving issues; promoting products and services; guiding members on self-service technology; processing member purchases and payments; assisting with transactions at registers or self-checkout; and organizing the work area.

Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by applying related action plans and using the Open Door Policy in daily work.

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; setting priorities and deadlines; communicating progress; identifying opportunities for improvement; and adapting to change and feedback.

Customer Service, Retail experience including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register), and experience working with mobile retail applications.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $24.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may apply in specific circumstances (e.g., schedule, facility, season, or tasks).
