This position is responsible for general food service prep work, in the Junction or TSC (Marketplace & Catering) Kitchen.
Duties include:
- Basic prep & order fulfillment.
- Preparing food items used in the Junction or the Marketplace and Catering.
- Peeling onions, carrots, washing and cutting fruits and vegetables.
- Cutting and trimming meats, chicken, beef, pork and fish.
- Cooking meats, sauces, starches, and vegetables.
- Keep the work station clean and sanitized.
- Help other areas during busy times.
- Other duties assigned by the chef.
Minimum qualifications:
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Food Handler's Permit is required within the first 30 days of employment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of the care and use of food service equipment and kitchen utensils.
- Knowledge of health hazards in food preparation, service and necessary precautionary measures.

Physical RequirementsThe position requires considerable physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (50 pounds) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects with walking, stooping and standing. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
