Overview
Cache County is looking for an Animal Care Specialist to help in our Animal Shelter. The position is part‑time, up to 30 hours a week, involving a combination of customer service and animal care duties.
Responsibilities- Provide information and assistance to members of the public.
- Maintain accurate records of all animals that come in or out of the shelter, contact owners, and answer phone calls and emails.
- Collect and process required fees.
- Provide care to animals, including bathing, general grooming, feeding and watering, cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, food bowls, litterboxes.
- Monitor the overall health and well‑being of animals in the shelter’s care.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, animal handling and husbandry experience, and knowledge of the basic principles and practices of animal handling, care, and treatment. General office procedures and methods, basic cash handling, fund reconciliations, and deposit procedures are also required.

Salary: $21.00 per hour.
