Job DescriptionThis is an on-site HR Manager role.
Provides Human Resources leadership to the assigned management team and employees at the Logan, UT location. Ensures that Human Resources objectives are aligned with business strategic goals through effective employee relations, compensation, staffing, training, organizational development, safety, and change management strategies. Fosters employee involvement at all levels.
Responsibilities- Develop and facilitate strategic short and long-term goals for assigned locations as they relate to the employment function (e.g., recruiting, screening, coordination of staffing plans, promotions, training, succession planning, and positive counseling) and profitability.
- Help facilitate positive employee relations, plant-wide effective communications, and internal management consultations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local agencies.
- Support and foster the company’s Open Door Policy.
- Administer policies, procedures, regulations, and contracts.
- Manage the requirements and functions related to the Affirmative Action Plan for assigned locations.
- Manage local workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and training programs in accordance with company and legal guidelines.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- 6+ years of applicable Human Resources work experience.
- 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably within Human Resources.
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows, MAC, or other technical tools.
- Leads and mentors assigned team members and local supervisors/managers on elements of effective Human Resources and employee management.
- Working knowledge of all HR functions including compensation, staffing, employee involvement, EEO/AAP safety training, and policy development.
- Current knowledge of federal, state, and local HR regulations.
- Effective counseling skills in areas of performance, behavioral problems, conflict resolution, and career development.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of employees effectively; contributes leadership and problem-solving in a collaborative fashion.
- Represents the department, division, or company at meetings and participates in committees and projects.
RRD’s current salary range for this role is $81,600 to $130,500 per year. The range may be adjusted based on geographic location and may change in the future. Total compensation may include bonuses, commissions, or incentives.
