Firefighter Paramedic III

Overview

Cache County is accepting applications for a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic position. The Firefighter/Paramedic provides advanced life support (ALS) emergency medical care, including patient assessment, medication administration, airway management, and trauma interventions. This position will work a 48/96 schedule.

• Respond to medical, fire, rescue, and wildland incidents; operate fire apparatus and specialized equipment; assist with patient transport; and complete accurate medical and incident documentation.
• Perform fire suppression, rescue, and hazard mitigation activities; conduct daily equipment and station maintenance; participate in training and physical fitness activities; follow department policies and safety procedures; and support public education and community outreach efforts.

• Education and Experience:
  
  High School Diploma or GED. One year of job‑related training. Three years of full‑time experience in fire or emergency services and a current Paramedic License.
• Licensing and
  
  Certifications:
  
  NREMT-Paramedic or Utah AEMT license (CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications);
  Utah Firefighter I and II (or IFSAC equivalent);
  Utah Hazmat Operations (or IFSAC equivalent);
  Utah Wildland Firefighter I (or NWCG Wildland Firefighter II equivalent);
  Current NWCG Red Card; IC 100, 200 and 700;
  Annual and periodic recertification(s) as required.
