Automation Test Engineer

About the role
  • As a Quality Engineer, you will support the development of effective test automation frameworks, track and report the status of identified errors as they progress through the fix and retest cycle and strive to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of automated testing processes using appropriate tools and technologies.
  • Provide accurate estimates for automated test preparation and execution during delivery phase, sometimes in tight schedules.
  • Ensure the quality and completeness of automated testing across functional, system, integration and regression levels.
  • Maintain and enhance automation frameworks and test scripts as directed by Quality Technical Test Team Lead.
  • Identify, log and track defects found during testing, escalating issues in accordance with established procedures.
  • Generate and share detailed test reports using automated testing tools to communicate results and insights effectively.
  • Collaborate with peer reviews and provide constructive feedback.
About you
  • Proven testing experience and a strong track record within a structured testing environment.
  • Proficiency in automation testing approaches and tools such as Java, C#, Selenium, Playwright on CI/CD tools such as Team City, Azure Dev Ops.
  • Strong understanding and have practical experience working in SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong understanding and experience with various design patterns to create test automation frameworks and test suites that are robust, scalable and reusable.
  • Ability to co-ordinate and communicate effectively with cross functional teams to promptly resolve issues identified during testing.
  • Demonstrated advanced debugging skills with the ability to efficiently identify, isolate, and resolve complex issues across automation frameworks, test environments and test data.
  • Willingness and ability to work outside standard business hours at short notice to support critical project deliverables and urgent support tasks.
