About the RoleThe Student Wellbeing team provides individual and group support to any identified student within the school (Prep - Year 12) that are facing challenges around social/emotional wellbeing.
We provide practical support and short term intervention, to increase student overall wellbeing and encourage engagement with external support systems.
About YouWe are looking for a heartfelt, genuine, adaptable Wellbeing Officer to provide support to students and families within our school. You will be working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve best outcomes for all involved.
Successful candidates must- Hold a minimum diploma level qualification in Counselling
- At least 2 years working with children and young people
- Strong knowledge of current evidence based practices, policies and current legislations.
- Be willing to work with the lifespan of King’s Students (Prep - Year 12).
- Have efficient communication skills to liaise with chaplains, teaching staff, management, parent and external providers.
- Understanding of case management with strong report writing and case noting skills.
- Be prepared to undergo professional development and ongoing supervision.
This position is 5 days per week at our Reedy Creek Campus, 7:30am
-3:30pm.
- at least 2 recent professional referees (including your current employer)
- at least 1 referee who can attest to your suitability to work within the values and culture of an expanding Christian school (preferably from a pastor or minister).

The REEDY CREEK CAMPUS (on the southern end of the Gold Coast) has more than 2300 students on-site, from Early Learning through to Year 12. This campus also includes a Trade Training College.
Our PIMPAMA CAMPUS (on the northern end of the Gold Coast) currently has over 1200 students on-site, from Early Learning to Year 12.
King’s LOGAN VILLAGE CAMPUS (in south-west Logan) offers places for students from Early Learning through to High School.
