- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and public areas, help to maintain orderly movement of people, and assist with directions, escorts, and other service requests as assigned.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, alarms, and calls for assistance, and coordinate with site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
- Complete routine reports and documentation, communicate observations and incident details to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts, and support assigned post duties and special coverage needs.
- Must be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
