Tasting Room Attendant

Job Description

Jessies Grove Winery/Events is looking for a dynamic, self‑motivated part‑time individual to work in the tasting room as well as events, greeting and serving guests, selling wine, and promoting the wine club. Candidates must have knowledge and passion for the wine industry, a keen interest in learning the details of our wines, and be able to share our story with guests.

Previous winery, restaurant or hospitality experience is required. Working at Jessies Grove is a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment. Team members should be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods throughout their shift. This role regularly involves moving between indoor and outdoor spaces and staying active during events and busy service times. This role does require some late evenings and weekends.

• Knowledge, appreciation and passion for people, wine and wine‑related topics
• Winery, restaurant or hospitality/retail sales experience
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with people and engage in ongoing conversation
• Cash Register POS and computer experience required (e‑mail, Word, Excel, knowledge of Wine Direct or Commerce 7 a plus)
• Maintain a professional appearance, be a team player and maintain a positive disposition
• Strong multi‑tasking abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work professionally and calmly in a fast‑paced environment:
  Stand for long periods of time
• Must be 21 years old or older, able to work weekends and some holidays and evenings
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40‑50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

• Setup and cleanup of the Tasting Room, restocking, keeping marketing materials current and stocked, keeping retail and stock areas clean, attractive and organized. Event set up and clean up
• Welcome and greet all guests when they walk in the door, provide table‑side wine tastings and food service. Provide education about our wines and upcoming events while ensuring an enjoyable and memorable experience.
• Encourage wine sales, ticket sales, explain and promote the wine club, inform guests about upcoming events, etc
• Assist with packaging and shipping of wine shipments

This is a part‑time / seasonal position.

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OCCASIONAL EVENINGS.
