About the Position
Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Nurse to join our specialized critical care team. In this role, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients recovering from complex cardiovascular procedures, including open-heart surgery, heart transplants, valve replacements, and major vascular interventions.
As a CVICU Nurse, you will monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring invasive monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and advanced hemodynamic support such as intra-aortic balloon pumps or ventricular assist devices (VADs). You'll collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, perfusionists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver precise, life-saving care.
Daily responsibilities include titrating high-risk medications, interpreting cardiac rhythms and diagnostic data, managing post-operative pain and sedation, and providing emotional support to patients and families during intense recovery periods. Strong clinical judgment, rapid response capabilities, and unwavering attention to detail are essential.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience
