We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Math Teacher to join our educational team at Locust Grove Middle. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, engage students in mathematical concepts, and promote critical thinking skills. This full-time position requires a commitment to student success and a collaborative approach to teaching.

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Teach mathematical concepts, including but not limited to algebra, geometry, and statistics, using a variety of instructional methods.
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations, quizzes, and standardized tests, providing feedback and support to enhance learning.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for mathematics.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, develop interdisciplinary projects, and improve curriculum delivery.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration regarding student performance and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and teaching strategies.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful, and organized learning environment.
• Support students in developing study skills and strategies for academic success.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field;
• Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for middle school level or willing to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and the ability to convey them effectively to students.
• Previous teaching experience in a middle school setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and tools to enhance learning experiences.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
