Job Purpose:

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for conducting cycle counts and bin location audits, assisting in researching and reconciling inventory discrepancies and working with the Inventory Supervisor/Manager in any inventory related functions concerning inventorying materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Performs physical counts of inventory items to maintain accurate inventory.

* Counts and reconcile randomly chosen or chosen part numbers and/or locations daily.

* Accurately inputs inventory control data to ensure inventory integrity.

* Completes necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on time.

* Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.

* Operate forklift during daily duties.

* Other tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

* Ensures compliance with inventory processes and procedures, and contractual obligations.

* Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.

* Utilize computer terminals to properly account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.

Qualifications:

* Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in Inventory Control.

* Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.

* Minimum 1-3 months' related experience and/or training in warehouse environment.

* Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.

* Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred).

* PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database.

Education and/or Experience

Required:

* High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

* Ability to read and write emails.

* Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.

* Forklift certification a plus.

Mathematical

Skills:

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to determine "root cause" of problem and determine corrective action.

Computer

Skills:

* To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite for writing emails and interpreting and/or creating reports.

Physical Demands:

* Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

* Must be able to stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl.
