Lead Shipping Associate Job Lockport area,Illinois USA,Transportation

Responsible for the pulling, assembly and prepping of merchandise in an efficient and safe manner. Further responsibilities include assisting the Shipping Supervisor in directing, assigning work, and preparing daily records.

Essential Responsibilities:

Directing, assigning work to, training, monitoring policy compliance and providing thorough and accurate performance evaluation input on Shipping employees.

Preparing and submitting records and reports in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensuring that all required tasks of the Shipping team are completed in a safe and efficient manner.

Reporting problems and concerns to the Shipping Supervisor in a timely and thorough manner.

Protecting company assets from misuse or damage and ensuring proper maintenance of company equipment and tools.

Pulling and prepping merchandise for delivery to our customer's homes.

Process merchandise through computer system.

Assisting Shipping Manager when the Shipping supervisor is not available.

Attendance in compliance with our Absence/Tardy policy is an essential responsibility of this position.
