The Production Lead is responsible for leading a manufacturing production team to work injury‑free/incident free in a manufacturing environment. The production lead is responsible and accountable for employee safety, quality, and production in a specific area. This is a union role.

• Follows, and ensures others follow, all policies, standards, and safety requirements defined by the company
• Drives safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactivelyhelpers hazards
• Participates in hiring, schedules, and supervises full time staff and additional temporary staff
• Provides coaching and corrective feedback timely as well as initiating disciplinary processes up to and including termination, as necessary
• Participates in timely quarterly and annual reviews for all team members
• Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving and resolution
• Oversees all process documentation and training program procedures for consistency of operational tasks, and the safety and cleanliness of the workplace
• Works directly with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance, to improve quality, streamline efficiencies and reduce operating expenses
• Tracks productivity for measured efficiency and improvement and operates at or below the budgeted cost for production utilizing lean manufacturing procedures and cross training
• Oversees adherence to inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy goals are constantly achieved
• Assists with troubleshooting and solving production issues
• Performs other duties as requested by management

• At least 1 year of Lead/Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required
• Able to operate under pressure, meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize workload and capacity to multi-task
• Ability to lead by example and build effective teams
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a factory environment and perform manual labor
• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPointిఫ>
• Ability to read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

• The hourly pay rate is $40.56/hr
