Overview
We are seeking passionate individuals looking to work with children ages 2-8 years old in an energetic and fun environment. We hold our sessions in park districts, schools, and daycares across Will County and Western Cook County, Monday through Saturday. We offer flexible scheduling and paid training to ensure we get the best of the best to join our team.
Responsibilities and Work Environment• Lead sessions with groups of 5-10 children in a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate manner.
• Create a positive, energetic atmosphere and facilitate soccer-related activities in partnership with Soccer Shots leaders.
• Maintain a clean appearance and professional conduct at public sites and with private-site directors/staff.
• Arrive on time and consistently meet availability during an 8-week season.
• Ensure effective communication with team leads and participate in ongoing training and evaluation.
- Pay: $20.00 per hour, with $15.00 per hour during training. Training lasts 1-3 weeks.

- Consistent Availability – Must be able to work multiple seasons with minimum changes to availability during an 8-week season.
- Responsible – Ability to arrive on time to sessions, manage groups of 5-10 children, and communicate effectively with Soccer Shots leaders.
- Professional – Clean appearance; be kind and approachable for parents at public sites and directors/staff at private sites.
- Experienced – Proven experience engaging and leading young children; soccer experience is a plus but not required.
- Creative – Comfortable being goofy and imaginative with young children.
- Clear Background – Must pass a background check.
- Logistics – Must have reliable transportation and daily access to the internet via phone/computer.
- Every Soccer Shots coach must complete our comprehensive training program to receive certification.
- All Soccer Shots coaches are trained in developmentally appropriate techniques.
- Coaches are routinely evaluated and undergo ongoing training.
- Our program is created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, professional soccer players, and experienced and licensed soccer coaches.
Working with children is important to us, and we seek experts who are passionate about positively impacting children and helping them build confidence on and off the field.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour with room for advancement with proven reliability
