The RoleWe’re seeking an experienced Welding Inspector to join our Quality Department. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that all Nvision activities before, during, and after fabrication meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Reporting to the Chief Inspector, you’ll carry out inspections, dimensional checks, and non‑destructive testing (NDT) processes, supporting our commitment to delivering precision‑engineered, reliable products to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform pre‑, during, and post‑weld inspections in line with drawings, standards, and company procedures.
- Carry out dimensional checks and Visual NDT during and after welding operations.
- Support defect investigation and root‑cause analysis, ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Record and maintain inspection data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in reducing rework and repair rates through proactive inspection and feedback.
- Conduct periodic audits of welding processes and assist with client inspections.
- Collaborate with the Quality Department to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
- Promote a strong Health, Safety, and Quality culture across the workshop.
- Accurate and timely completion of inspection records.
- Effective contribution to defect reduction and process improvement.
- Consistent compliance with quality standards and procedures.
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification (minimum).
- HNC/HND in Engineering or time‑served Welder/Inspector background.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage across teams.
- Methodical, organised, and able to manage workloads to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in গবেষণা Office and report writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience as a Welding Inspector within manufacturing, engineering, or defence sectors.
- PCN Level 2 MPI and/or DPI certification.
- Previous NDT experience.
- Experience as a welder or holding American Welding Inspection qualifications.
- Membership ofusz professional body (e.g. TWI, IMechAr, IET, Argyll Ruane).
