Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is currently hiring an experienced Electrical QA/QC for our Lloydminster branch. This position is responsible for all electrical inspections related to installations, testing, commissioning of electrical components.
Techmation works on a variety of industrial oil and gas construction and maintenance projects throughout Western Canada. As a successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to work on full-time, long-term construction projects with well-established and reputable clients.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Building and completion of turnover packagesField QC Checks and filling out documentsWorking with site superintendent to do As-buildsWorking with client QC representative to coordinate inspectionsWorking with client warehouse to receive equipmentConduct inspection of all ongoing activities for electrical installationsAttend all electrical inspections with client representativesSubmit inspection requests in coordination with project engineersPrepare daily QA/QC reports regarding inspections, material, and non-conformancesVerify the drawings and documents used at site for approvals and compliance with project requirementsEnsure the completeness and conformity are to the specified applicable requirements, standards and/or directivesEnsure that all equipment used is calibrated and with valid certificatesAssess competency and capability of tradespersons; evaluating crew capability and benchmarking to others to ensure that the crew meets the required levels of quality by discussing experience and observing performance on the jobCommunicating the job standards with the crew by sharing job plan and associated hours for tasks as well as drawingsAssigning individual and crew tasks to ensure maximum productivityResponsible for the preparation of the final turn over documents such as QA/QC documents, testing and commissioning reportsRequirements:
Journeyman Electrician certificateMinimum of 2 years QA/QC experience on an industrial projectMust have previous electrical experience working within the Industrial Oil & Gas sectorBluebeam, Navis Works, and Excel experience would be a assetAbility to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlinesThorough knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulationsMust have a flexible work schedule - shift work, overtime, and weekendsValid Class 5 drivers license and reliable transportationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProven dedication to safetyCandidates must have valid Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive & Fall Protection, Intermediate First Aid Level C with CPR/AED, CSTS 2020 and Driving & Journey Management CertificatesTechmation Electric & Controls is one of Canada's Best Managed Companies (Platinum Club Member) that provides a complete range of electrical and instrumentation services throughout Western Canada for the Oil & Gas industry.
