Electrical Project Engineer – Building Services
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location:
South Wales (with UK-wide travel as required)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a growing building services team delivering large-scale new build and refurbishment projects across commercial sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to manage projects from estimation through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of electrical building services projects, including commercial oversight and client liaison.
* Oversee projects from estimation to completion, ensuring compliance with specifications and deadlines.
* Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and ensure health and safety compliance.
* Coordinate operatives and subcontractors, ensuring quality installation and adherence to drawings.
* Handle procurement of plant and materials within budget and specification.
* Monitor site progress, attend client meetings, and manage commissioning and handover processes.
* Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor to track financial performance.
About You
* HNC/HND/Degree in Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
* Proven experience managing electrical building services projects on large-scale commercial schemes.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
* High IT literacy (Microsoft Office) and understanding of mechanical/electrical systems.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (including occasional overnight stays).
Working Hours
40 hours per week:
* Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
* Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
(Some overtime or weekend work may be required.)
