Lecturer in Public Services

Salary: £22.58 - £34.91 per hour inclusive of holiday pay, dependent on qualifications and experience

We are seeking to appoint part time hourly paid lecturers in Public Services to support our delivery of this growth area. Applications are particularly welcomed from individuals who have recent experience working in this sector.

• Prepare and deliver engaging lectures for learners.
• Carry out administration, assessment and quality assurance practices associated with teaching duties.
• Encourage interactive teaching and learning methodologies to engage and involve learners.
• Share knowledge and examples from your experiences within the teaching and learning delivered.
• Ensure learners gain an in-depth understanding and appreciation of the duties, challenges, joys and rewards of a career in Public Services.

• Previous teaching and industry experience.
• Sector experts ready to take first steps into teaching.
• Ability to retain current role in the sector while taking up a teaching position.

• Holiday Entitlement: Pro rata paid holiday in each academic year (1st Sep - 31st Aug), including pro‑rata entitlement of 8 Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in Wales and up to 5 efficiency days (subject to change). Annual leave derived from a pro‑rata full‑time equivalent entitlement of 46 days, included in hourly rate.
• Working Pattern: Up to 16 hours a week Monday - Friday during the day to cover staff absences during the college term. Work pattern to be agreed depending on availability. Subject and level of provision based on qualifications and experience.
• Additional Hours Compensation: 10% - 63.33% (subject to criteria) applied to contractual hours worked to reflect preparation and marking.
