LJPersonal Assistant

A committed, caring and flexible Personal Assistant is required in the Llanelli area to support a young man who has cerebral palsy to manage his daily routine and support his access to the community. All aspects of personal care required and he has mobility impairment.

A personal Assistant is required for 8 hours per week for Socialisation swimming and the pool on Monday, Tuesdays or Thursdays, Friday also enjoys going out and about and meeting people. There is an opportunity for additional hours of work possibly.

This young man is very particular about his personal care and needs a high level of patience. He is very easy going but works to his own pace and cannot be rushed. He also has controlled epilepsy and is medicated.

A full driving license and use of a car will be required. You must have business use on your insurance to be able to use the vehicle within work hours.

The hours are to be worked flexibly as required and agreed in advance. This post is funded through the Direct Payments scheme and is intended to enable this family to manage their support independently. Training can be provided as required and where available.

Must have own transport and a full, clean driving licence. A Disclosure Barring Service Check (DBS) / criminal record check will require to be undertaken for this post. This will be completed on acceptance of job offer.
