Vocational & Recreational Coordinator - Llanelli

Salary:
Up to £22,586.20 per annum FTE
Hours:
35 per week
to support the provision of a comprehensive vocational/learning/recreational activities service, creating means whereby service users can achieve their stated aims through a variety of opportunities.
Responsibilities- Assist in maximizing service user independence and well‑being through facilitating access to a range of internal and external vocational, learning and recreational opportunities.
- Support the development and delivery of vocational, learning and recreational programmes.
- Maintain partnerships with external vocational & learning and recreational providers.
- Pursue existing and encourage new activity interests across a local community.
- Provide opportunities for service users to acquire/improve skills of literacy, numeracy and computer competency.
- Assist service users in acquiring daily living skills, either by active participation or observation.
- Report achievements and future plans to other staff groups to support service users’ personal goals.
- Be conversant with service user Care Programmes (personal care, nutrition, mobility, communication aids).
- Ensure all equipment in the Activities Department is used correctly, maintained and safe, and report defects.
- Experience in a multidisciplinary environment, supporting the development and implementation of activity programmes.
- IT skills:
Outlook email, Microsoft Office, internet navigation. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Customer care skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Timely reporting and record keeping.
- Full driving licence and ability to drive the service vehicles.
- Competitive salary up to £22,586.20 per annum.
