Overview

Proactive Personal Assistant wanted to support a young man who is a wheelchair user following a brain injury. Up to 13 hours per week, spread flexibly through the week to take him out for socialisation. Availability in evenings and weekends preferred. Adventurous PA needed and able to encourage the employer to try new things. Full driving licence essential to drive his mobility vehicle.

PA must be physically able to assist him into the car and to lift the wheelchair into the boot.

• Provide socialisation support and accompany the client on outings
• Work up to 13 hours per week, with flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends
• Encourage the client to try new activities
• Assist with getting in and out of the car and handle wheelchair in/out of boot

• Full driving licence essential
• Physically able to assist with transfers and lifting of the wheelchair
• Availability for evenings and weekends
• DBS/criminal record check required on acceptance of job offer
