Are you a Mechanical Engineer or Maintenance Operative looking for a permanent night shift role within a large, secure UK manufacturing business?

This is an excellent opportunity to join the UK's largest timber business and part of a global group operating across the full timber supply chain. Due to continued investment at the Newbridge‑on‑Wye site, the company is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer / Oiler‑Greaser to support preventative maintenance operations across the sawmill.

This role is a permanent night shift position, ideal for someone who enjoys routine, responsibility, and playing a key role in keeping production running smoothly.

• Lubricate moving parts of heavy equipment throughout the mill.
• Change oil in machine reservoirs; clean and replace oil filters.
• Perform some planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems.
• Work the permanent night shift.

• Mechanical engineering background (any industry or environment).
• Strong hands‑on electrical maintenance and fault‑finding experience.
• Happy with permanent night shifts.
