As a Bricklayer for RAM Construction Services, you will assist in the revitalization and construction of surrounding areas. Your responsibilities include checking specifications, determining accurate layouts, marking guidelines, mixing mortar to acceptable consistency, and performing essential duties that support project success.

• Interpret work orders and determine required materials
• Measure distance from reference points
• Calculate angles and determine vertical and horizontal alignments of courses
• Lay bricks using mortar as binder and a trowel to level
• Perform duties such as laying brick, block, and terra cotta; tuck pointing; grinding mortar joints; stone patching; caulking and welding
• Work safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights
• Lift objects or materials weighing 60+ pounds
• Assist other skilled trade workers (caulking, waterproofing, etc.) in their performance
• Use equipment and tools effectively (hand tools and small power tools)
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year industry experience on construction sites
• Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved; at least 5 years’ experience specifically with limestone, granite, terra cotta, and Jahn patching
• Problem‑solving ability
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Physically fit to stand for long periods
• Reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License (CDL A a plus)
• Must have the following tools: 2’ and 4’ level pointing tools, hawk, 3lb hammer, brick hammer, safety harness, tape measure, cape chisel, flat chisel, brick trowel, margin trowel and jointer

Some travel is required; the employee must be willing to travel to surrounding job sites. RAM will compensate a per diem for travel and overnight stay if applicable.

Some technology use may be required. If so, the employee will be properly trained on how to use software, equipment, etc.

Various work environments are expected, including seasonal temperatures, high spaces, small spaces, loud and frequent noises, standing/walking for up to 12 hours a day, indoor/outdoor settings, and areas close to traffic.

Adhere to instructions from superintendents, project managers and construction plans and blueprints.

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area.

Follow all RAM health and safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
