  Trinity Health Oakland Hospital – Pontiac/Oakland County, Michigan

• Current board certification in one of the following disciplines:
  • PA‑C (Physician Assistant‑Certified)
  • AGACNP (Adult‑Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner)
  • ACNPC or ACNPC‑AG (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner)
• Minimum 1–2 years of post‑graduate experience in an inpatient neurology or hospital‑based setting (stroke or neurological disorders experience preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• State of Michigan License
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

• Perform neurological assessments, obtain patient histories, and conduct physical examinations
• Manage patients with acute neurological conditions in collaboration with the neurohospitalist team
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as imaging and laboratory studies; respond to Code Stroke alerts and assist with time‑sensitive interventions
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Document patient care in the EMR (Epic) accurately and timely
• Work closely with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in quality initiatives and protocol‑driven care for stroke and neurological disorders
