Delta Gear is looking for skilled CNC Machinists to join our team. (U.S. Citizens Only)
1st Shift
:
Mon-Fri 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (8–10 hour days);
Saturdays as needed.
2nd Shift
:
Mon-Fri 4:00 pm – 2:30 am (8–10 hour days);
Saturdays as needed.
Compensation
: $23-$40/hr + OT (based on experience).
Delta Gear is an AS9100 and ISO 9001 registered facility which manufactures Automotive & Truck Differentials, Gear Products, Prototype/Development and Production, Transmission Builds. We also provide contract gear and CMM inspection services. We are NADCAP approved for non-destructive testing and currently offer Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Nital Etch.
Responsibilities- Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Set up lathes or mills by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers, tram-ming heads.
- Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
- Operate CNC lathes or mills.
- Perform basic maintenance on CNC machines.
- Experience with dual spindles, turn/mill, spindle transferring, and/or 3, 4 or 5-axis machining is a plus.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3–4 years CNC experience
- CNC-related certificate or degree is a plus
- Able to lift 25–40 lbs
- Ability to use hand tools
