The Accounting Manager - Stores plays a critical leadership role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations for a robust multi-location business where traffic and transaction volumes are consistently strong. Key Responsibilities

+ Lead accounting functions supporting a high-volume, multi-location store network, ensuring timely and accurate financial activity in compliance with internal close calendars and policies

+ Oversee the monthly close process, including general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and analysis of variances

+ Partner with cross-functional teams to support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial insights related to store operations

+ Manage and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance, coaching, and performance support

+ Review and refine team deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with standards

+ Support external audit activities, responding to requests and providing documentation as needed

+ Drive continuous improvement through process enhancements and special projects

Requirements

Job Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

+ Prior public accounting experience is required, with experience from a Big 4 or large regional firm strongly preferred

+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of degreed accounting professionals

+ Strong technical accounting skills with hands-on general ledger, reconciliation, and financial analysis experience

+ Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment with multiple retail stores and ecommerce operations

+ Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications

+ Excellent communication, prioritization, and project management skills
