Overview
As Code Architect
, you will build and implement premier automated cloud solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to accelerate cloud adoption, improve operational efficiency, and ensure compliance across multi-cloud environments. You will lead transformative initiatives, mentor peers, and influence enterprise architecture standards while driving measurable business outcomes such as faster delivery, improved resiliency, and cost optimization.
- Architect and Implement IaC Solutions:
Build and deploy automated cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep/ARM, and Ansible across Azure and multi-cloud environments. - Standardize Infrastructure:
Develop reusable frameworks and modules for networking, compute, storage, identity, and observability to ensure consistency and compliance. - Establish Dev Ops & Git Ops Practices:
Define and implement Dev Ops standards centered on Terraform and Git Hub Actions, enabling automated provisioning, controlled updates, and configuration drift detection. - Automate Lifecycle Operations:
Build pipelines for provisioning, scaling, backup orchestration, and enforce policy-as-code for governance and compliance. - Improve Resilience & Observability:
Codify telemetry (metrics, logs, traces), alerting, SLOs/error budgets, and automated runbooks for rapid remediation and self-service recovery. - Optimize Cloud Resources:
Implement autoscaling strategies, reservations/savings plans, HA/DR automation, and Fin Ops practices to improve cost efficiency and performance. - Champion Security & Compliance:
Embed security controls and compliance checks into IaC workflows, ensuring audit readiness and alignment to regulatory standards. - Collaborate & Influence:
Partner with multi-functional teams to productize infrastructure (landing zones, golden images) and accelerate application delivery. - Mentor & Lead:
Coach team members on IaC patterns, automation guidelines, and cloud architecture principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering and automation, including Azure (or AWS/GCP) and IaC tools.
- Expertise in CI/CD platforms (Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions) and scripting languages (Power Shell, Python, Bash).
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, cloud security, and resilient architecture development.
- Proven ability to influence collaborators and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Relevant certifications (Azure Architect, Terraform Associate, or equivalent).
- Exposure to Fin Ops practices and cloud sustainability strategies.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS) and artifact management.
- Hands-on experience with secrets management (Azure Key Vault, Hashi Corp Vault) and policy-as-code (OPA, Azure Policy).
- Familiarity with on-prem virtualization (VMware vSphere/ESXi) and storage platforms.
