Home care scheduler

Position Summary

The Home Care Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and managing caregiver schedules to ensure consistent, high-quality care for clients. This role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills to effectively match caregivers with client needs while maintaining compliance and continuity of care.

• Schedule and coordinate caregivers for client cases based on availability, skills, and client preferences
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules in scheduling software
• Handle last-minute call-outs and coverage changes efficiently
• Communicate schedule changes to caregivers, clients, and family members
• Ensure adequate staffing coverage for all assigned cases
• Verify caregiver availability and confirm shift assignments
• Collaborate with intake, nursing, and management teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
• Address scheduling conflicts and resolve issues promptly
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and state regulations

• Minimum 1 year experience in home care scheduling or a healthcare office setting
• Knowledge of home care services and caregiver roles (HHA, CNA, LPN, RN) preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in computer systems and scheduling software
• Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
