Job Summary
The On-Call Radiologic Technology Lab Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of laboratories outside the functions of Information Services activities. This includes working with faculty and the administrative assistant to order and stock supplies for laboratories and setting up laboratories for class and for special events. Additionally, the On-Call Radiologic Technology Lab Technician will assist faculty with laboratory instruction.

Job Duties

  • Prepare lab for planned student activities.
  • Assist Instructor with any needs before, during and after class.
  • Clean up lab after student activities are complete.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies for specialty area of the lab.
  • Adhere to FERPA policy regarding student confidentiality.
  • Must comply with OSHA guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree.
  • ARRT Certification within one year from hire date.
  • Ability to maintain and work in an imaging lab.
  • Ability to communicate effectively by computer, orally, or in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two (2) years of relevant work experience.

    Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

    Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from prospective and current employees, and groups of managers.
  • Mathematical

    Skills:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Office Environment:
    This role may involve being in a stationary position in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse (or applicable equipment) and telephone. Communicating and exchanging information with individuals electronically or in person. This role may involve moving objects of up to 10 lbs., and on occasion, up to 25 lbs.
