Job Summary

Our dialysis center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Dialysis Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to efficient dialysis unit operations by performing stocking and custodial duties.

Full Time – 40 hours a week, Monday through Saturday 5:00 am to 6:30 pm (flexible)

Department Description

St. Mary Dialysis is an outpatient dialysis facility. The unit oversees peritoneal and home dialysis patients, serving 66 in‑center patients. The department is staffed with Nephrologists, Registered Nurses, and Dialysis Clinical Technicians, with additional support from front‑desk and machine‑maintenance staff as needed. The team provides patient education and facilitates transplant referrals.

Key Responsibilities

• Properly clean patient equipment and tear down machines.
• Maintain storage of supplies and equipment.
• Follow standard precautions and infection control policies, including OSHA regulations and MSDS information sheets.
• Treat patients and families with respect, dignity, and compassion.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area, including ancillary equipment, and minimize waste by applying Lean principles.
• Prepare blood samples for shipment.
• Assist clinical staff as needed in the treatment area (e.g., holding needle sites, transporting patients, assisting with weighing, etc.).

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
