The practice of athletic training includes injury/illness prevention and wellness protection, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate and emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation, and organizational and professional health and well-being of individuals under the direction of a physician.

Job Summary
The Athletic Trainer develops, implements, and maintains comprehensive health care programs for patients, clients, and athletes. The practice of athletic training includes injury/illness prevention and wellness protection, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate and emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation, and organizational and professional health and well-being of individuals under the direction of a physician.
Licensure:
- Current State of Michigan Licensed Athletic Trainer
- Membership in or eligibility for membership in National Athletic Trainers Association, preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Experience and demonstrated competence/independence in handling challenging case load of patients and clients for physical therapy rehabilitative care and sports performance training, preferred.
- Collegiate Athletic Experience, preferred.
- Professional or Collegiate Training experience, preferred.
