Next Care Urgent Care seeks an energetic and enthusiastic Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced setting and works effectively in a team. We are looking for customer-friendly, passionate employees committed to putting patients and staff first.
Responsibilities- Assist provider with exams, vitals, procedures, and other direct patient care responsibilities under direct supervision.
- Administer medications per policy and provider direction while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform blood draws per provider direction.
- Collect urine samples for various tests, including employer drug screens.
- Perform splinting, casting, and other related urgent‑care duties such as ear lavage, wound care, and oxygen administration.
- Conduct physicals including sports physicals.
- Notify the provider of any unusual patient occurrences and record incidents.
- Notify the clinic manager of safety concerns for patients or employees.
- Follow laboratory and accreditation policy guidelines.
- Maintain proficiency in EMR/EHR systems.
- Perform other duties assigned or described by company policy.
- Support front‑office reception duties: inform patients/families of wait times, monitor flow, process discharge, obtain signatures, issue receipts, and collect payments.
As a Medical Assistant, you will provide top‑grade customer service, uphold patient dignity, ensure a smooth clinic operation, and deliver high‑quality care that meets each patient’s needs.
Essential Education, Experience And Skills ArizonaEducation. Minimum high‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Completed an approved (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
- OR completed an unapproved (non‑accredited) program AND earned a national certification: CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or CCMA (NHA).
- OR have at least 1 year of verifiable experience supervised by a provider or physician group, or 2000 hours of experience.
Education. Minimum high‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Completed an approved (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
- OR completed an unapproved (non‑accredited) program AND earned a national certification: CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or CCMA (NHA).
- OR have at least 1 year of verifiable experience supervised by a provider or physician group, or 2000 hours of experience.
Other MA education or experience may be considered upon review and approval by our Compliance and Regulatory department.
