Job ObjectiveThe purpose of the Store Production/Department Supervisor is to oversee the production process and the personnel assigned to that process with a focus on meeting established production/sales quotas/goals.

Responsibilities- Assign, direct and ensure completion of daily tasks for production/department team members, including housekeeping for spaces assigned.
- Trains new team members on production expectations and processes.
- Provides quality control inspections, ensuring that only the best product makes it to the floor. (Good, Better, Best)
- Tracks and reports production at scheduled times.
- Participates in production processes as needed.
- Proficiently uses cash register at locations that require.
- Implement assigned strategies to meet product acquisition, production and sales goals for the day/week/month.
- Knowing the product acquisition, production and sales goals.
- Diligently implement product rotation process.
- Communicates with assigned personnel to place supply orders for next day s processing.
- Supports management with store maintenance and appearance.
- Follow procedures for maintenance and safety concerns.
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace, ensuring the work spaces are prepared for the next day s production.
- Looks for ways to improve donor and shopper experience.
- Communicates with the Store Management regarding all facets of the store s operations, keeping them updated on incidents and concerns for assigned areas.
- Supports management in creating a positive understanding of policies and procedures.
- Directs complaints and criticism to management.
- Supports the protection of the resources under their supervision.
- Implement Product Control Procedures preventing shrinkage through theft or spoilage.
- Control property, utility and product supply waste.
Other duties as assigned by manager or assistant manager.
ADDENDUM- Donation Area Supervisors
- Sort, load, and unload all SA trucks per center policy while ensuring order and safety for all items being loaded/unloaded.
- Receive and receipt donated material as requested by donor, tracking donations per center policy
- Courteously advise donors of material which is not acceptable.
- Where and when applicable, power sort donations as they come in.
The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
EducationHigh School Diploma or currently pursuing.
ExperienceRetail sales production and/or thrift store experience is highly preferred. Has experience following and giving direction.
Skills/Abilities- Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership and field personnel.
- Basic computer skills including but not limited to the use of payroll program and the ability to learn other programs or systems that are adopted by the TSA ARC.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to use basic math skills.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background test.
Oversees production team members assigned by management. This may include paid staff, volunteers and beneficiaries.
