Where You ll Work Located just off Highway 59 south, the 66-bed hospital in Livingston provides more than 60,000 patient services each year, with half of those services offered in the Level 4 Trauma-Designated Emergency Department. Services include Orthopedic care, Women’s Services, and a modern Sleep Center. Imaging services include MRI, CT, nuclear medicine scans, 4D Ultrasound, cardiac echocardiograms, fluoroscopy, bone density scanning and 3D mammography.

Pay Range $28.50 - $43.46 /hour

Responsibilities
  • Assessment:
    Admission and ongoing assessment of patient’s condition. Provide nursing care to meet the patient’s physical, psychological and spiritual needs. Notify doctor of changes in assessment that require attention.
  • Planning:
    Design, direct, evaluate, and document the plan of care, patient/family teaching and transition of care to include safe, appropriate level of discharge. Collaborate with other clinical disciplines to meet specialized patient care and discharge needs. Formulate a plan of care and daily goals considering the patient’s individualized needs.
  • Implementation:
    Prepare patients for treatments, surgeries and diagnostic studies; report significant changes to Charge Nurse/Team Leader and/or physician. Implement patient safety initiatives and protocols including medication safety practices, physician orders, and consult notifications.
  • Evaluation:
    Reassess patients at appropriate intervals following interventions; notify physician as necessary to modify interventions. Adjust nursing care to meet the patient’s evolving needs.
  • Report

    Skills:

    Provide bedside shift reports with family participation; deliver accurate and comprehensive reports to oncoming shifts to establish continuity of care; receive reports from off-going shifts and delegate tasks to maintain continuity based on teammate experience and patient acuity.
  • Environment & Patient Safety:
    Maintain a safe patient and work environment; promptly remove used and soiled equipment and linen to appropriate locations; support quality, patient safety and satisfaction initiatives; report patient safety and hazard concerns immediately.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Nursing and at least one (1) year of RN experience, upon hire
  • Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) within 14 days
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 months
Preferred
  • Bachelor of Nursing, upon hire
