Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.
-5:00 p.m.
Salary: $56,659 annually
Burke is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing services to clients at the Polk Mental Health Clinic. This role supports outpatient mental health services through medication administration, clinical assessments, care coordination, and patient education. The RN will work collaboratively with the clinical team and may supervise non‑licensed medical support staff as assigned.
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and track injections and laboratory work
- Complete nursing assessments and AIMS evaluations
- Obtain and document medication consents
- Process prescription refills and insurance prior authorizations
- Respond to patient phone inquiries
- Maintain medication inventory and documentation
- Provide patient education related to medications and care
- Coordinate visits with pharmaceutical representatives
- Supervise non‑licensed medical support staff as assigned
- Perform additional duties as needed
Required: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Required: Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Texas Board of Nursing
ExperiencePreferred: Six (6) months of experience as an RN working with individuals with mental illness in an inpatient or community setting
Licenses & CertificationsRequired: Texas Registered Nurse license
Required: Valid Texas driver's license
Special Training & SkillsKnowledge and competency in current nursing practices across age groups
Working knowledge of computer systems and electronic documentation
Special RequirementsAbility to complete SAMA, CPR, and First Aid training
Driving record must be insurable under Burke's insurance administrator
Physical RequirementsAbility to see, hear, speak, walk, stand or sit for prolonged periods, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Hand and finger dexterity for clinical tasks and documentation
Ability to drive as required
