Essential Job Function
  • Provide patient treatment, instruction, and other related services following the Occupational Therapist’s evaluation and establishment of the patient’s plan of care
  • Report all significant outcomes of patient treatments to the Occupational Therapist for intervention and/or plan of care revision
  • Maintain necessary documentation, including daily patient progress notes, home/exercise instructions, and any other support entries allowed by State statute
  • Document the name of the supervising Occupational Therapist per patient as required by State statute
  • Report all patient care activities performed requiring program modification immediately to the Occupational Therapist
  • Ensure proficient services through proper patient and equipment scheduling
  • Carry out EHS duties as designated by policy and/or by the President/Vice President
  • Comply with the Facility’s Comprehensive Compliance Plan (CPP), including Business & Clinical Operations, Environmental Health & Safety, HIPAA, Human Resources and Code of Conduct and all facility policies and procedures and educational requirements associated with the CCP
  • Comply with all local, state and federal regulations, training and instruction requirements, as well as any other standards that govern healthcare services provision
  • Assist with developing and organizing patient/parent training programs to meet the needs of the families and community
  • Collaborate with physician offices to ensure quality of care and positive working relationships in conjunction with office administration
Qualifications
  • A graduate of a certified Occupational Therapy Program approved by the Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
  • A person licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in Texas
  • A person who demonstrates the physical and mental capabilities to perform the duties required of the position
  • A person who can meet the physical demand level of the position

Job Type: Full-time, will consider Part-Time
