• Provide direct patient care to critical care patients, including assessments, medication administration, specimen collection, and treatments, following scope and standards of practice.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions effectively to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and elimination.
• Collaborate across disciplines for comprehensive patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Assess and educate patients and families based on their learning needs, age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Complete all required education, including classroom and online courses.

• Graduate of an RN program.
• Current Tennessee RN license or a license from a compact state.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to function effectively in a stressful environment.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS required upon hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire or transfer; AHA or Red Cross certifications preferred.
