Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered will depend on factors including education, skills and professional experience.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients and nursing units in accordance with hospital philosophy, policies, procedures, and program plans.
  • Assist with development of patient care standards, orientation, and continuing education.
  • Provide input into evaluation of staff performance and participate in nursing Quality Improvement.
  • Assist with unit administration including scheduling, payroll, and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain and role-model clinical skills necessary to provide care to patients.
  • Takes daily assignments and assess age-specific needs in alignment with patient development.
  • Ensure Radiology Nursing compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Meet requirements as defined by applicable Department Specific Equipment Competency Checklists.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, employees, physicians, patients, visitors, and guests; utilize feedback to improve processes and services.
  • Contribute to quality management and CQI efforts; seek feedback and continually evaluate and improve processes and services.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • BSN Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Special Equipment/Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational ability; nurse management and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in area standards
  • Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center

Certifications and Licenses

Required:

  • Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • ACLS
  • PALS

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full-Time
  • Day shift
  • 37.5 hrs weekly
  • 5 days per week
  • Monday through Friday with on call
Essential Functions
  • Meets requirements as defined by applicable Department Specific Equipment Competency Checklist
  • All patient-related activities to hospital departments, patients, families, visitors, nursing personnel and medical units
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, employees, physicians, patients, visitors, and guests
  • Utilize a variety of feedback to improve processes and services to meet and exceed customer needs
  • Use sound employee relations practices and maintain high visibility and accessibility
  • Follow through all customer requests and inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Quality Management; utilizes principles of CQI in all work situations
  • Seek feedback and recommendations from others to improve quality, processes and services
  • Contribute to improving quality of services and productivity; take initiative to continually evaluate work, report problems, suggest solutions and try new ideas
