• 2+ years of acute care nursing experience as a Registered Nurse or 2 years of acute care nursing experience with previous management experience.
• Current and active New Jersey Registered Nurse licensure is required.
• Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.

• Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• BSN Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.

• Night Shift, 12.5 hour shift, 7P‑8A.

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and follows principles of evidence‑based practice by maintaining a record of their own knowledge and experience and by communicating with and utilizing available resources and programs.
• The Registered Nurse reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.
• The Registered Nurse maintains knowledge of the patient population served.
• The Registered Nurse supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient‑care providers.
• The Registered Nurse consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• The Registered Nurse participates in patient teaching and discharge planning and in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
• The Registered Nurse is an individual practitioner and an interdisciplinary team manager who utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care for each patient.
