Pay Range: $47.85 – $76.27 per hour
Pay Transparency:
The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. Compensation will depend on education, skills, and experience.
The experienced critical care Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of critical care or recent/current telemetry experience.
- Strong critical thinking/assessment skills.
- Must be I.V. certified from an approved facility or complete the requirements for I.V. certification within 90 days of hire to the unit.
- Completion of all Orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
- Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.
- Current and active New Jersey RN licensure.
- Baccalaureate Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) or completion of requirements for certifications within 90 days of hire to the unit.
- Day Shift, 7A-8P, 12.5-Hour Shift, Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Required to work every other weekend and holiday rotations.
- The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and is aware of ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
- The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and incorporates evidence-based practice by maintaining an awareness of their own knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others in the patient care team through communication and utilization of available resources.
- The Registered Nurse reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (e.g., damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.
- The Registered Nurse is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served.
- The Registered Nurse supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
- The Registered Nurse consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
- The Registered Nurse is an individual practitioner and an interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care to address a specific patient's needs.
